Sharlot Bott, from Huntington Beach, California, sports a long and illustrious career within the West Coast Swing Dance World as performer, champion dancer, certified GSDTA master Instructor, and chief judge, with acclaim for her influential and musical style that has shaped many other champion dancers worldwide. Numerous titles include National Championships in Strictly Swing, Professional Jack-n-Jill, Classic and Showcase Divisions and an inductee in the Swing Dance National Hall of Fame, and the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.

Sharlot travels worldwide with Mark Scheuffele, her partner and husband, teaching intensives, workshops and performing exhibitions. Mark is not only an exceptional dancer himself, but is also a professional trainer and educator, who recently quipped that Sharlot is his muse, his paintbrush to creating beautiful dance art together. He is noted for his insightful understanding and ability to teach leaders how to “read” their partners to make sure their followers are taken care of and both have an awesome dance.

Host studio, The Ballroom Dance Center, has been developing their West Coast Swing community for several years by bringing in authentic West Coast Swing professionals and developing their own instructional staff in West Coast Swing. It is an honor and privilege to host Sharlot and Mark who represent true excellence in both social and competitive style West Coast Swing.
